FINAL TWO:

Edwards vs. McCain

Bethca ten pesos. I'll take ten bets at ten pesos a piece.

What's your prediction?

1. Obama v Romney
I just don't see McCain getting it. And Edwards is just as much of a longshot.

2. I can see Edwards but McCain?
has something changed since the last time I listened to the "other side" talk about their candidates?

3. I think he'll be the compromise candidate

The money people know they have to deal with the dominionists and Mc Cain isn't a "fruit" baby-killer or a totally partisan religious nutcase. He's also BFEE, and is owed his turn at the wheel for taking the slime about the black baby a few elections back, to let Bush get in as the lesser of two evils. He's owed.

Besides, I want to watch his cheek move as if it has an alien embedded in it and I'll see more of that when he's campaigning. His ET cheek bone moves around more than Bush's cochlear implants.

5. I don't mean to be too grim, but what happens if a candidate dies or
becomes incapacitated during the campaign? I used to really like McCain when he was running in 2000. I'm not sure if it was because he sounded like the rebelious anti establishment candidate or what, but he's not the same person now! I've seen so many times when he looked like a very tired old man! If I see it, a lot of others must seer that too! I really don't wish him any ill will, but really...what happens if a major party's candidate dies or becomes completely disabled DURING the campaign?

8. McCain is set to repeat 2000. He isn't close to winning IA, he may win NH, he isn't close in SC
Edited on Mon Dec-24-07 09:06 AM by skipos
That won't get him the nomination. Whoever wins IA is going to get a boost in NH. If McCain wins NH as expected, he won't get much of a boost in SC or anywhere else. He is doing pretty shitty everywhere after SC.

9. OK, my prediction
Huck wins Iowa. A weakened Romney faces McCain in NH. McCain wins. Ghooli meanwhile never becomes a factor. It comes down to McCain vs Huckleberry. At the convention we learn the ticket is McCain/Huckleberry. I hope I am wrong, because that would be their strongest ticket.

However, with Obama as our nominee and Clark VP, the Dems present an image of youthful vigor combined with foreign policy strength. Obama/Clark clobber the Reps for supporting a failed foreign policy and the biggest strategic blunder in US military history while pounding for the need for domestic programs the American people support.

Dems win a commanding control of both houses of Congress.

Happy Times Are Here Again....
