Does any candidate truly understand the direction our nation is headed?
Do they truly understand the consequences of $3trillion dollars in debt that we have accumulated in such a short time? Do they understand the impact upon the dollar? Do they understand the the true impact of all the jobs going overseas and the manufacturing base disappearing in this country? Do they understand the subprime mortgage crisis and the impact it is having on the housing market and on the individuals who are losing their homes because of the practice? Do any of them understand the true extent of the mess in the Middle East?

Do they truly understand the stress that so many people now have as they work two or three jobs trying to keep their heads above water and food on their tables? Do they understand how much this economy has hurt the elderly in the last few years? Do they understand that we are rapidly sliding into a recession and perhaps, a depression?

Do any of them have any plans to cope with these problems once they are elected? Or do they think a little trimming at the edges will do the trick? Do any of them understand what they are getting into? I wonder?

1. I believe 3 or 4 do have a grasp, BUT you simply cannot...
bring that subject up in the primaries, and perhaps only in the early days of the general. Why? Because the American public simply is not intelligent enough on average to understand...therefor they will 'tune-out' any candidate who addresses it.

Sad but true.

btw my opinion is that Biden, Dodd, Clinton and perhps, maybe Edwards have a grasp on the economics.

2. These are the elephants in the room that no one wants to talk about

and because no one will discuss these topics, they will hit head on.

We know that the government has built many new concentration camps, and that they're discussing things like 'homegrown terrorism'. I think that they know a crash is coming, but they don't care because they feel insulted from being personally affected by it, and they're making plans to put anyone who is affected by it in one of these new camps.

Some freedom!

Just my two cents.

3. I wonder also
And we have to be very careful in electing the dem nominee. We need someone to stand up to the problems and fight for the people. It won't be easy, none of it will. We have to bring this country back from the brink destruction, and rebuild it. We have to balance a budget, stop the senseless agenda of invading other countries for their oil, and end the outsourcing that started with NAFTA and has continued through all the other so called "free" trade agreements.

We don't want more of the same, we want change. Be sure of your vote in the primaries, because if we pick the wrong person, we will either keep a republican in the Whitehouse, or we could have a dem in the Whitehouse with the same agenda we have now. Think hard before you cast your vote!
