Clinton, AFSCME, and illegal coordination

The American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees is conducting a mail and radio effort on behalf of Hillary Clinton. The effort is supposed to be an "independent expenditure", free from involvement with the Clinton campaign.

But it looks like that's not the case.

When AFSCME made a radio buy at a major NH radio station last week, it was placed at the same time as a buy for the Clinton campaign.

It was placed by the same media buyer.

The run schedules appear to have been coordinated to avoid overlap.

There's more on this coming, but at the minimum, it looks like the Clinton campaign is playing fast and loose with federal election law.

It just developed over the last 48 hours. An employee of the radio station noticed the situation and talked to a reporter late afternoon on Christmas Eve.

I talked to the station employee and he is an extremely credible source.
