5. I used to be a steward in that union some years back.

When I started, I'd show up for the stewards' meeting and it was me and one other woman and a bunch of men who would show up with their sixpacks or 12 packs in hand. I quit being a steward after a while because you can't get anything done when there's a bunch of drunks sitting around the table bullshitting about anything but labor issues.
