1. He's way too much like Wellstone for his own good.

But then I guess that's why I support him, and why I don't think THEY'LL ever let him win.

2. I've actually talked to them both a few times (and worked on their campaigns)

I was a delegate to MN's DFL convention for Wellstone in 1990, and for Kucinich in 2004.

They both come from the same progressive tradition. They both believe that compromise is something you do AFTER you've demanded the impossible-- not BEFORE you even sit down at the negotiating table.

3. I hope he watches his back.

When he was campaigning in my town a few months back, I felt he was more exposed than he should have been and too close to the crowd he was addressing. I failed to see much security around him other than the local political clubs who had sponsored his appearance here. Maybe, as someone who watched Bobby Kennedy being assassinated on TV, I might be somewhat paranoid, but I still urge him to be cautious.
