Axelrod answered a REPORTER'S QUESTION truthfully. Whats wrong with that?
Edited on Thu Dec-27-07 05:19 PM by Wolsh
REPORTER: But looking ahead, does the assassination put on the front burner foreign policy credentials in the closing days?

AXELROD: Well, it puts on the table foreign policy judgment, and that's a discussion we welcome. Barack Obama had the judgment to oppose the
war in Iraq, and he warned at the time it would divert us from Afghanistan and al Qaeda, and now we see the effect of that. Al Qaeda's resurgent,
they're a powerful force now in Pakistan, they may have been involved -- we've been here, so I don't know whether the news has been updated,
but there's a suspicion they may have been involved in this.

~~~~~~
Just so we're all clear here. It's not like he ran out and threw Hillary (rightfully) under the bus for her IWR vote. He answered a reporters questions truthfully and accurately.
4. And here you are rehashing the entire matter...
a statement from the candidates is mandated in such tragic circumstances. Flacks, advisors, surrogates should have the native intelligence to keep their mouths shut and refer the vultures of the press to their candidate.
Loose lips sink more than ships.
5. Politicians and others refuse to answer reporters' questions all the time
A brief "no comment" is fine, or maybe saying, "I don't want to discuss politics in this context" or "yes, foreign policy credentials have always been important and continue to be important. I believe that my candidate has the best kind of experience to lead our nation through a time like this."
I believe that the candidates and their spokespeople need to be sensitive on a day like today, and attacks aimed at other candidates are distasteful. :shrug:
10. The Media Heathers have again framed the debate by
insinuating there was something wrong with what Axelrod said.
I fully support tying in the US's egregious foreign policy as shaping the unrest in the ME. The Republicans and Ms. Clinton are trying so sweep this freakin' nightmare under the carpet, to take it off the radar of voters, when I say light it up, keeping it burning, don't forget what kowtowing to the GOP war scheme advocates has wrought.
That's an important lesson we can't afford to let fade into the background.
You're the one attempting to make it a racist remark. I ask again, are all Obama supporters of the same race? Nevermind. They are not. Therefore, it can not be racist. Obama has White, Black, Asian, Hispanic etc. for supporters. Calling a candidate's gangbangers is just as silly as hillaryworlders. Or even Hillaryherd as I read in another thread.
