9. I think it's an old quote and he's softened his rhetoric a bit

since taking the lead in the race. He said he wouldn't have any problem with having gay people work in his administration, probably the most pro-gay thing he's ever said after a long history of relentless hostility towards gays. But you can still get him to say it's a sin of course.

I'm not saying softening his rhetoric fools me, or I think he's an ok guy now. It's just noteworthy because extreme anti-gay rhetoric is the only way he's stood out among the other Repugs on the issue. None of them are the slightest bit trustworthy on the issue, but it is worse to have someone mirroring Fred Phelps' rhetoric.

All the Repugs are equally odious to me, my only interest in their primary race it rooting for whoever would be easiest to beat.
