Poll question: OBAMA BELIEVES Republicans should be able to choose our nominee in our primary. Do you?
Let's discuss. Why Does Barack Obama want Republicans to choose our nominee? Why do you/do not?

1. If they help keep Hillary from being our nominee, it will be fine by me.
States all make the rules on who votes in the primaries. If they want to keep it purely partisan, they need to make it a rule.

2. You really should stop this during this crunch period ... you are hurting your candidate
You consistently demonstrate the worst elements of her campaign and exemplify what has turned people off over the course of the campaign.

Do your candidate a favor and get out more often.

10. Are you really that naive?
Do you actually believe that anything anyone says on DU will ultimatley affect the outcome?

28. You point is well-taken
but threads like this one lessen Clinton's chances for a victory. There are a lot of us out here who work hard for our candidates. We're sick and tired of the nastiness and I doubt we'd willing to work with Clinton's supporters if she makes into the general election.

4. OBAMA BELIEVES that Republicans should finally wake up and realize that the Democratic
Party is the one who takes care of their interests. Do you?

29. Kool-aid drinkers don't care about their own best interests
Like Jim Jones followers, they are brainwashed into believing that the Kool-aid (tax cuts for the rich, eg.) is good for them, hense the term. Dont fool yourself into thinking republicans will back any democrat. You have to remember, these people are suicide cultists (rapture right.) They will gleefully march off a cliff if told it to.

5. Democrats have tried to have McCain be the nominee in NH and MA by becoming independant
and Edwards was hoping Republicans would help to become the nominee in 2004.

Nothing new, though I understand why the Clinton people are upset.

27. Actually they have chosen Obama
Hense their silence on him. They attack what they fear. I think they are banking on their racist base being whipped into a new kind of frenzy. It doesn't matter to me either way. The republican field are all basketcases anyway so whomever we have as the nominee will win. If Obama wins the nomination the republicans won't be able to contain their racist base and will basically self destruct in a frenzy of bigotry. If Hillary wins they will run their candidate as the anti-Hillary, like they did with Rick Lazio, and self destruct. Either way it will be a joy to watch.

He would've been a very succesful Republican.

32. wow i thought people in this country had a right to vote....
the right to vote for anyone for any reason. maybe there are republicans that do not like their candidates so what are they to do?...not vote? maybe they like the health plan or some other plan one of our candidates are purposing,oh no, they can`t vote for a democrat because we are a party that excludes everyone but our loyal party members...

oh wait...i confess.... i have voted for my republican state representative . a man that has done several things to help my family in time of need..funny he did even though i`m a registered democrat.

This kind of crap does little to elevate political discourse. I wonder how many undecided votes you have convinced to vote for your candidate by posting this tripe. :eyes:
