We could have Mickey Mouse as our candidate and defeat any Republican out there but if the Democratic votes are tallied up for the Repuke candidate,that makes it very difficult to win....

He's making a lot of people wary and a lot of people angry, and I don't think they're going to tolerate his candidacy without activating a few trapdoors on the man.

The fundie nutjob wing of the GOP should have stuck with Brownback. Brownback's just as insane as Huckabee, but he knows how to feed himself and mop his feet on the doormat before muddying up the carpet.

Huckabee has already started his swift slide into obscurity. He may take Iowa, though I doubt it, but he'll never take NH, and he'll be screwed on Super Tuesday. In Iowa, Huckabee's already falling behind Romney with McCain advancing, and nationally, he's lost his brief lead.

Finally, if by some fluke, he won the nomination, and Clinton was the dem nominee, we'd wipe the floor with the repukes. Think 1984 in reverse.

Huckabee is an idiot...

Here's how it goes...The Dems destroy the Reps in the urban areas...The Reps destroy the Dems in the rural areas... Elections are decided in the suburbs...Bush* was able to win in 00 and 04 because he was able to hold his own in the suburbs...The Huckster's far out views will get him destroyed there...

I don't care how likeable he is...He is out of the main stream and non main stream candidates don't do very well in American politics or anywhere else...

19. I doubt it will ever be Huckabee and Hillary, but if it is, Schuster

is probably right. Huckleberry would get the Republicans, the men who wouldn't vote for a woman, the Jesus freaks and the stupid. Hillary would get the moderate Democrats and some of the lefties. A third party candidate would probably get into the race and take the remainder of the votes.

22. We could see a solid month of articles on Huckabee's more questionable

calls as governor, as well as savage broadsides by his opponents, who after all feel they're more entitled to the nomination.

They likely feel this is the time in the election cycle when THEY should be frontrunner, and not some fundie nitwit. They've been dumping very significant bucks into pandering to that very faction Huckabee appears to have captured without half trying, and I doubt if they're going to let him have it without a bruising struggle.

And he's outnumbered.

With any luck, we may never even have to bloody our hands with Huckabee if his opponents set to fool in coming days.
