Advocacy of a third Party candidacy is "Party Treason"
I don't care if it is:
George Wallace in 1968
John Anderson in 1976
Ross Perot in 1992 or 1996
Ralph Nader in 2000 or 2004.
Joe Lieberman in 2006
Cindy Sheehan running against Pelosi as an independent
or Mike Bloomberg running as an independent/CNU

Advocacy of any third party/independent bid detracts from the purpose of DU and the greater goals of the Democratic Party.

You can support anyone you bloody well please. but you can't advocate their candidacy here.It is no different than advocating for a republican over a democratic candidat on this site.

Our Party (right or wrong) is still OUR Party. Go Find your own.

2. Agreed.
Bloomberg is not a Democrat.
Ron Paul is not a Democrat.

Their support should not be welcomed.

4. Actually we should support a Ron Paul third party run.
It would take votes away from the corporate duopoly Republican. A third party run on the right can only be a good thing for us.

3. Gladly K&R
Don't forget about Cynthia McKinney running on the Green Party ticket this year. She still has a lot of supporters.

7. Should that also apply to Gore?

Frankly, if Bloomberg does jump in, I hope he will, too.

Besides, is it REALLY our party if all we can look forward to is the DLC end of it betraying US to the Republicans?
