4. Still true today: Dems are the party of anger and the ideas and will to CHANGE.
And from that comes HOPE.

Also from the article:

-snip-

But anger is also the natural response to egregious abuse of privilege, to outright lies by officials in the government, to disenfranchisement and pronounced inequity. Anger drove the French Revolution, and has to answer for the chaos and the bloodletting that ensued. But it also drove the American Revolution, breathing life into the ideals of liberty and freedom that are the dominant principles of the world today.

-snip-

******

That said - Obama supporters are making themselves look frustrated and desperate, scraping the bottom of the barrel trying to stir up some shit. Edwards is rising!

5. Does it physically hurt to have so much anger and resentment inside you?
I mean it must be some consuming bitterness that causes you to post this vile garbage all day and all night.

6. I still think that scream was just excitement on Dean's part.....
and MSM blew that whole thing so out of proportion by showing it over, and over, and over that it just killed his chances.....   :patriot:

7. Kind of puts the lie to his 'fight everyone' meme today, doesn't it?

I liked his message better then. And how about compromise? When did that become a dirty word?
You get more bees with honey...

15. Sure, if that's doable, but a candidate won't be doing it; rethugs have
to lose races or not show up/retire. That's not up to the candidates but the constituents of whomever is bailing or up for (re)election.

10. I didn't think Dean was particularly angry and I don't think Edwards is now
and as for that mild criticism, it hardly qualifies as nasty campaigning.

11. You started a thread about this a few days ago
partly my inspiration here. I mostly agree with you, but you left out the part about Edwards promoting the same meme about Howard four years ago after a fashion that his supporters presently find so reprehensible.

16. fighting for the middle class
is not anger.

The realism that you don't achieve real change by using Republican talking points is not anger.

17. In 2004, that was probably true
Certainly truer than now. The mood of the public has changed a great deal since then.
