That fact that you believe what you're saying is troubling. We elect a president and vice president. They are the decision makers, not their wives. I respect that Mrs. Clinton wanted to make a mark by proposing health care, but for her to run on a falsehood, that she helped run the country, is really over the top and doesn't speak well for our democracy.

Actually, a quick look at the last 40 years of history will prove that the Democratic party did better without Presidential primaries. When we picked our candidates at the convention, they usually got elected. And we kept huge majorities in Congress.

Clinton received while in the White HOuse? I know you read DU. It makes me wonder if you are just pretending, or if you are just picking a fight.

Madaline Albright outlined the extensive experience Clinton received at the White House with the over 80 trips as Ambassader to the US in one form or another visiting heads of states of those 80 countries, negotiating, informing, speaking. Her foreign relations experience is vast.

Further, her time in the white house as advisor to the president, gives her a unique perspective. Did she overstep her bounds? Perhaps. The President can use any advisor he trusts. And he said he used her. She did not overstep her bounds in attending security meetings, but that does not diminish the experience she did have.

As a Senator she has also had extensive experience, that has been outlined on DU numerous times.


Clinton's vast and unique experience coupled with her strenght and intelligence, makes her the best candidate for President.

that are expected of officers wives in government service.

Contrast Hillary's activities during Bill's presidency with the activities of Laura or Barbara.

A different time, the last activist first lady was Eleanor Roosevelt.

And, nothing between Eleanor and Hillary.

Most first ladies are meant to be seen and not heard. Laura has surfaced from time to time but only in non-confrontational activities. The most confrontational activity Laura has been involved in has been to move from the white house into a hotel from time to time when Shrub falls off the wagon.
