Iowans pick up on Clinton's silence
Source: Des Moines Register

Iowans have noticed that Democrat Hillary Clinton has not been taking public questions from audiences during most of her final-push campaign rallies.

After her 40-minute monologue ended shortly before 10 p.m. Sunday, Clinton immediately began to sign autographs, pose for photographs and listen to caucusgoers’ concerns one on one.

Iowa Falls resident Alene Rickels, 51, when asked her thoughts about the event, told a reporter: “Her speech was really good, but it would’ve been interesting to see how she reacted to questions.

“I really thought she would take questions,” said Rickels, a middle school teacher. “It’s late in the day, so I’m assuming that that’s the reason. I don’t know what she did the rest of the day.”

1. To be fair, I don't think Obama's been taking questions the last couple days either.
This close to the caucus date, there's just too much chance of something going wrong.

By the way, your screenname is hilarious.

2. He did at the event yesterday
The one televised on CSpan. IIRC, Kerry cut his speech to 20 minutes so he could take questions and took them as he headed out the door most of the time.

9. Right on. I saw this politico story...
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1207/7619.html

which says he hasn't taken questions at his last half-dozen or so events.

Just figured I'd cite where I got my info. Not pulling it totally out of my ass. :hi:

3. The ought to pick up on Obama's silence also, as to why
he missed all those votes..some where really cruicial...and why he of all the candidates (except McCain) wants to bomb Iran....he sure as hell is keeping his mouth glued shut on those two...he won't answer the questions no matter when he is asked. But then just consider...........

7. Sheesh. Hasn't that "Obama will bomb Iran" canard lost its luster yet?

12. Yes, he does!
...and he's done really well with them too.

The more I see of him, the more I like him. He's my first choice.
The more I see of him, the less I like the others.

Kerry won Iowa in 2004 because he would stay in those townhalls taking questions until every person in the room had decided. With thousands still deciding this week or open to changing their vote, it is vital that their questions are answered.
