For those of you who are undecided, are the threads where people are pointing out their perceived negatives about candidates swaying your decision one way or another?
Several people have obvious agendas in their posts, but perhaps others are sincerely trying to educate the undecided DUers about various aspects to the candidates' campaigns, as they perceive them. Certainly, rebuttals come up, so you get to read both sides of the issues.
Is any of this helpful at this point or are all of these points already well known to you about Clinton, Edwards and Obama? (I could be wrong, but they're the ones primarily pounced upon with negatives.)
I have chosen a candidate and my eyes are wide open, and they will remain open until I'm in the voting booth and after, always keeping a watchful eye for truthiness (lol). I'm aware of the educated concerns of others, and I respect their decision to be vehemently against my candidate. We're all different, so some things that are troubling/frightening/maddening to one person about a candidate and his/her position may be tolerable to another person and vice versa, even KNOWING all the facts that are available.
Again, for you undecideds, I ask you to please help us see how the EXTREME energy being expended here is playing out with you.
I keep checking in to see if anything newsworthy (and new!) has come about, but I see essentially the same discussions about the same issues. And, that's cool...I'm just curious how the repetition is affecting the undecided voters here at DU.
(I didn't name my candidate because I don't want the thread to become about this person...I'm not trying to be coy or anything)
Thanks...and Happy New Year to everyone! :hi:
