Did John Edwards support NAFTA?

Senator Obama said today that John Edward's had supported NAFTA and that he (Obama) had not.

So, what's the deal on Edwards history with NAFTA? (I don't think he was in office when it passed, but has he changed stances on it since 2004?)

He said that "I didn’t support NAFTA" referring to himself.
He then said that Edwards supported China trade.

Edwards wasn't in the Senate at the time of NAFTA, but didn't talk about it. He was asked about it at a debate and said he didn't oppose it, but had some serious reservations.

Obama is correct:

Edwards Voted YES on permanent normal trade relations with China.
Vote to give permanent Normal Trade Relations status to China. Currently, NTR status for China is debated and voted on annually.

Are we sure where he stands on NAFTA today? I always thought he was a staunch NAFTA opponent, but I guess not.
