It's still close, and he's got a lot to be proud of.

His supporters came out to caucus.

But I'm not sure if this is enough momentum to carry him onto the nomination.

It's enough to carry his campaign on, BUT....

Not sure if he's got the support to win this one, guys :(

Damn shame...Real big shame...

1. Say what? He's just a few % behind. He'll be getting more press now
and more piling on of Hillary. This is BAD for Hillary which is GREAT for America!

2. That's exactly how
the mainstream media will spin it, thus creating a self fulfilling prophecy.

6. Not giving up. Simply realizing it's an uphill battle, not sure if my guy can survive.
Sucks :(

10. It's a tough one.
Hilary might go negative on Obama before NH which could give Edwards a little help...Maybe I'm reaching.

5. M$M was really either ignoring him or trashing him so far.
Now they can't ignore him any more, so they'll have to focus on trashing him.

7. Why not?
Maybe if the media mentioned his name once in awhile...he'd be doing much better. He's tied for second but all I hear on TV is Obama/Hillary/Obama/Hillary
If he got half as much coverage as those two..I think things would be much different.

8. Not in New Hampshire we aren't
Us and thousands of in state and out of state volunteers are as we speak getting new signs out, processing the doorknocking and calls we made. Things are very much open here and I believe we can still win.

9. Hand in there.
This is just the start.

I'm in a mixed household. My partner is for Edwards and he's not giving up. Nor am I.

This is going to be a back and forth race.

In the end .... It's STILL gonna be ALL GOOD in November.

11. 2nd place finish for Edwards gives him space to still spoil
would have rather seen him in 3rd but the distance from Hillary gives Obama clear frontrunner status.

GOBAMA!

12. If 57% of the "youth group" went Obama it means that we've been
bested by people who know NOTHING about losing a pension or being without health insurance at age 50.....this is not a happy day for many, many people in America who will have no one really fighting for them....this group doesn't know what being a progressive is....how many are still living at home not realizing that if that dries up, the rough times can begin...very quickly.

16. Yeah cause we were so much better off with the electoral choices
that were made without the youth voting.

13. I don't think so
Trailing badly in the upcoming contests already, Edwards needed to win Iowa, or at the very least just be edged out finihing a very close second with Clinton trailing. Instead Obama beat Edwards by almost 7% and Edwards didn't pull away from Clinton. Clinton at least has a strong national organization and money in the bank. She can rally from her base. Iowa was the Edwards base, and Obama now is the clear alternative to Clinton, not Edwards, so I don't see how Edwards can fight back from this.

15. Your right he lived in Iowa for 4 years and if he couldn't get the win there then their is
only one role left for him in this race and that is as a spoiler.

17. Buck up laddie!
When the going gets tough the tough get going! This is just the first round of a 12 round fight. Don't give up the ship! Damn the torpedos, full steam ahead! Win for the Gi . p . .p . . . (ok, never mind that one, but you get the drift)

Any serious Edwards backer would not pull out now, especially after such a strong showing after being essentially written off by the MSM and entrenched interests who would much prefer probably ANY OTHER candidate. There really is no other candidate like him.

I feel positively energized and I hope you will too tomorrow.
