Once the nomination is decided, and I hope that it is sooner rather than later and I don't really care whether it is Kerry or Edwards, the Democrats have to close ranks as quickly and without any loud dissent. And then they have to strike back with an earthquake-like force. Donations will pour in, and I can't wait to see the ads about the "waffling" that Shrub has done. And I mean BIG waffling, from "I don't do nation building" to Cheney saying "gay marriage should be up to the states to decide" to "The Clean Air Act" vs. what it actually does, to "2.6 million new jobs"...I mean, the list is friggin endless.
These are institution-wide contradictions that the Democrats have to hammer home, and they will make any supposed waffling by our candidate appear invisible.
