That is just embarrassing. At least being beat by Obamma and/or Edwards, those are two good candidates. How can you lose to Huckster AFTER OUTSPENDING HIM 20 TO ONE and have any credibility left at all?

But, he would be much easier to beat in the general than McCain or Rudy. So this might not be a good thing.

Rudy's "wait til Super Tues" think is imploding -- I'm SURE he expected more than 3 percent in IA, even though he didn't spend any $$ there. And McCain's "the surge is working" thing, come on. Even Huck will say that Bush is in bunker mentality mode!

But to me McCain is the quiet, plodding, strong, silent type who perseveres and comes out ahead, to everyone's dismay. In the general he would be tough - he would attract the white male swing voters like a magnet, especially if we nominate the wrong person. Rudy is also one of these - we dare not underestimate them.

8. Instead of calling Huckabee a dork, understand why he won.

It's not about spending money, but spending money wisely. It's about organization. Huckabee's people were organized and on fire -- just as Democrats in general were a lot more organized and on fire than Republicans in general were tonight in Iowa.

Those who support Huckabee don't think he is a dork, they think he is a savior and 'just folks' and a breath of fresh air.

People look at Huckabee, and then they look at a Romney or a Guiliani, and you know what they see? They see someone who is a lot more sincere than a Romney or a Guiliani. Doesn't matter if it's true or not, only perception matters. But boy, does it matter. The Freepers are talking about how Huckabee supporters only care about abortion and gay marriage, but boy do they care about abortion and gay marriage. Many Freepers talk about it with awed, uncomfortable *puzzlement*.

If enough people are energized to want that 'sincerity', and organize themselves, they can win in spite of the Media or official Republican blackouts. They're not going to care about being called 'dorks' or their candidate being called a 'dork' by folks they don't agree with. They're going to care about winning. And it will be a 'surprise' to everyone except those paying attention.

Beat Huckabee on issues and peeling away at that 'sincerity' -- not by namecalling. I believe, at any rate, for what it's worth. LOL

11. Huck's a doofus, but he could prove to be a real threat.

There are lots of religious wackos who think he's heaven-sent, and these wackos are going gaga for him. They're also determined to vote for him. My sister-in-law is one of them. I have been working on trying to convince her that Huckabee is the anti-Christ. She's gullible, so I might just succeed. But she's just one of many who want more than anything to see the Huckster elected president. He has to be stopped.

I see a non-stop attack against Huckleberry in the future. I guess it's already started, but it's going to get VERY nasty now and we'll see how Huckleberry withstands the pressure of the unyielding scrutiny sure to come his way.
I can't fathom ANYONE thinking of Huckleberry as Presidential material, but the religiously insane have always surprised me before. I mean, they gave us BUSH!, right? :shrug:
