ALERT: Hillary had republicans as precinct captains!!!
To all those who treated Obama as a traitor for having a republican as a precinct captain I hope you equally condemn Hillary as a backstabber. This is an account from someone in Iowa.

Most of Hillary's support are old women with the exception of two very young men, and two of my neighbors (a husband and wife) who are farmers and have always been staunch republicans. The WIFE was Hillary's precinct captain.

I would like to see all the Clinton supporters who said we couldn't support Obama because he had a republican precinct captain to march in her and publicly with draw their support for Hillary Clinton.

Hmm...why do I have a feeling that none of the Clinton supporters will do that....hmmmmm

15. I know that
I think all of the Dem candidates probably had some Republican precinct captains. More power to them if they could bring in crossovers. The reason I brought up Edwards is because I have been seeing repeatedly this morning a complete distortion of the truth in Iowa, claims that Edwards won Iowa Democrats, when he didn't, and denial that he brought in a hefty percentage of Republicans.

(76%) Democratic - Obama 32% (Clinton 31%; Edwards 23%)
(03%) Republican - Obama 44% (Edwards 32%; Clinton 10%)
(20%) Independent - Obama 41% (Edwards 23%; Clinton 17%)

http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/epolls/#val=IADEM

Claims he won the working class vote, when he didn't, not by income or by union households, and on and on.

But you are right that I should have included Obama in my post above :hi:

13. I know they all did... I am just
criticizing the fact that people were saying Obama was in league with Bush because of it. I am trying to point out the hypocrisy in some of these attacks.

10. I was being sarcastic...
People were hysterical yesterday at the unholy thought of Obama having a republican precinct captain... I personally think it is a good sign for the democratic party that Hillary, Obama, and Edwards are getting republicans to vote for them.... this piece was about the Hillary shriekers going crazy about Obama's republican precinct captain.

16. Edwards took 32% of the Republican vote in Iowa
A DU'er's report last night mentioned Republican precinct captains for Edwards.

Is that hypocrisy, too?
