There is one clear factor that points to Edwards winning the presidency....

Obviously it would be a tough road to hoe, considering Obama is on fire and he doesn't have a ton of money etc. I wasn't ready to dismiss the guy after he took second in Iowa or anything, but I realize he still has an uphill fight.

Then I was reading the NY Times the next day and saw that David Brooks wrote this: "John Edwards political career is over."

And if there is one thing I know, one force greater than any other, it's that when David Brooks spews out an opinion on Dem Party politics, well, it's almost assuredly going to end up wrong.

So David Brooks says Edwards is done. That probably means he's not.
