I feel he is the man for our times. We need him. I feel the best Presidents are ones that seem to think in the right way. Open minds and smart. That is what I think this man is and what we need in this time in our history. The world is changing and the USA does not want to be left behind. I think the people feel it and a man who grabs that and runs is just great. I am sorry to see Bill and his wife stick in the WH business. Carter moved on and I think after Obama would also. I like that type thinking. Carter moved on with new things, like Gore and I am sure Obama would. the Clinton's just march in step.

If this holds. I am an undecided voter who would not mind if either candidate won or lost. I believe they can both win in November and I like them all. I was kind of pulling for Hillary so it would become a tight race and my vote would count in the Maryland primaries but I am kind of wanting to see Obama take over so these guys can stop attacking each other and start focusing on the Republican party. The sooner for that the better.

Pollster John Zogby: “This full sample is after Iowa. On the Democratic side, we have clarity and confirmation of what is being felt on the ground in New Hampshire: big momentum for Obama and movement against Clinton. As in the closing days in Iowa, Clinton is slowly losing her support among women (she leads 37% to 33%), Democrats (Obama leads 36% to 32%), and Liberals (Obama leads 34% to 32%). Obama leads among Independents (47% to 22%), men (45% to 21% for Edwards and 18% for Clinton), and 18-29 year olds (47% to 22%). Obama also leads Clinton among all voters under age 65, Moderates (by a 45% to 25% margin), and among voters in union households (40% to 22%).

It's worked out so well for us all before, why change a good thing? :eyes:

Follow the money, folks. How are the candidates taking in millions from lobbyist groups (which get their money from big corporations) going to make changes to our benefit?

They aren't. Face it: to help the American people have lower drug costs, bank fees, etc., they are going to impact the profits of those corporations. But the candidates taking money from those corporations have compromised their ability to make change, because they are indebted to those corporations.

Follow the money, the money is where it will benefit the corporations the most. And that's bad for the American people.

13. I'm not sure the contributions *always* change what they do.

The contributions are usually about what committee they sit on, or what they'd likely emphasize in their policy. "We want a seat at the table!" they say, usually giving to both parties but giving more to the one they want to, or think will, win. (The contribution to the other party is like insurance.) They want to exert influence, but this doesn't mean they do.

I think it's the media and the laziness of New Hampshire voters that cuts our process short. New Hampshire might as well have a state motto on their license plates of "The Me-Too State!"

And after NH, the media just runs with it and people jump on the bandwagon.

I'm okay with Obama but I'd reeeeally like to see a full, nationwide primary process. It's better for the candidates and their campaigns, it's better for the voters, it's better for the party, it's just plain better for democracy. I don't like to think they whole thing is decided by a relatively small number of people in Iowa.
