I (white male) struck up a conversation about football in a bar last night. At some point there was a political news teaser on the TV, and the black man I was talking to volunteered that he doesn't like Hillary.

I asked him who he prefers.

He said, "I took vacation time to go up to New Hampshire to work for John McCain. He's my hero."

(True story. Offered here as a cautionary tale about generalizations as to "what black people think," and "what white people think.")
