Dennis Kucinich on Reagan, June 5th, 2004
"More than any President in modern times, he understood the essential optimism of the American people. He evoked it and exemplified it. His passing at this troubling hour in our national experience therefore is exceedingly sad and leaves a great void."

1. Everyone says nice things about former presidents when they die
Obamites have dug up quotes from people praising Reagan but all of them were when he died with one exception and that was a president praising Reagan at the dedication of a building Congress named after him. He had no choice in that instance.
