"North Carolina Sen. John Edwards fares just as well against President Bush in Massachusetts as Sen. John F. Kerry - robbing the hometown front-runner of a signature issue heading into Super Tuesday voting, a new Boston Sunday Herald poll shows.

     In general election match-ups, Edwards beats Bush by 23 points in the Bay State while Kerry bests the incumbent by 29 points, the poll found.

     The results undercut Kerry's claim to electability, the centerpiece of his ride toward the nomination since a surprise Iowa caucus victory six weeks ago."

This proves my argument. The Democrats in the blue states will still vote for Edwards.
Unlike Kerry, Edwards puts red states like North Carolina in play.

Survey USA poll said. I know the tone around here. And he wouldn't win his Senate seat here. He barely won it the first time. Clinton couldn't even beat Dole in this state.

Also you have to be aware of the fact that winning a NC Senate seat by 51% is considered a landslide... In the last 8 Elections the winner was decided by 51% or less...

Edwards has done good things for NC. He stands a very good chance of winning this state in the Primary, and would most likley win his Senate seat back. I know that I'll vote for him!

They have all come to believe that Kerry is the most electable because they have this repeated again and again. We should have a true debate whether or not this is the case. Why should we halt debate?
