Poll question: Tomorrow is Super-Tuesday. How close to the real vote is DU?
Edited on Mon Mar-01-04 12:43 PM by bobthedrummer
Wes Clark and Howard Dean supporters will have to make decisions tomorrow, but DUer's can vote in this poll, which has most of the Democratic candidates plus Nader listed.

Vote your choice.

LOL @ yourself. When 20% of DU'ers vote (in one of the many unscientific polls here) that John F. Kerry (the most liberal US Seantor--more liberal than Teddy Kennedy) is a DINO, that is a great indication that DU is out of the mainstream.

Vote for Nader, and then bitch about Bush for another 4 years, you masochistic martyrs.

12. "the most liberal US senator--more liberal than Teddy Kennedy"
Not according to the conservative Orlando Report:

That said, there are plenty of votes to suggest that Kerry is more of a moderate and is willing to break from liberal orthodoxy, including his support for Gramm-Rudman-Hollings in the mid-1980s for deficit reduction, his vote for welfare reform and his votes for NAFTA and other free trade agreements. Given these votes the assertion that he's more liberal than Ted Kennedy does not withstand scrutiny. Kerry was a founding member of the moderate Democratic Leadership Council. (emphasis added)

Sorry, I wasn't referring to you--I was referring to the idiots with multiple accounts who are voting for that elf/Vulcan DK above.

At least DU is a liberal site, albeit a fringe liberal site in which some consider JFKerry to be a DINO. That is whack.

FreeRepublic used to be a conservative site (well, they were united in their hatred of Clinton--even though any good liberal like me will tell you that William Jefferson Clinton was not a real liberal), but freeperville is such a joke now that the conservatives there who point out Bush isn't really a conservative because of his nation building in Iraq and his $550 billion deficit and his amnesty program for illegal aliens have been banned forever.

I was hoping this site could become a ABB (united against Bush site), but too many of the disgruntled Deaniacs and DK supporters would rather be right in principle and have * in the White House for four more years (or more, since martial law will displace the constitution after the next terrorist attack on US soil). DK has half the delegates of Rev. Jogging Suit, but that won't stop the Dee Kayers from creating silly polls here and DUing (freeping--skewing) them.

Zell Miller is a DINO. Shit, he's more conservative than most actual Rethuglickers. Holy Joe was the closest thing to a DINO that the DEMS had running for prez. John Kerry is no DINO.

34. evidence of skewing
That fact that DK supporters are over-represented by a factor of 100000 here with regards to their actual presence in the real world--there are many times more DK supporters here than Rev. Al supporters, however, in the real world, Rev. Al has twice (16) as many delegates than DK (8).

How many hundreds of delegates does Kerry already have, and how many more hundreds will he pick up tomorrow?

36. what happened to the DEAN and CLARK
folks who used to be neck and neck for #1? Did they all go to Kerry or Edwards? Perhaps some went to DK because they still felt they wanted a candidate who was against USAPATRIOT and against the IWR - and not AL because the Reverend Al is a joke.

37. what happened to the DEAN and CLARK folks
Well, according to the latest polls, they went to the Kerry/Edwards camps.

Neither Dean nor Clark could vote yeah or nay on the Patriot Act nor the IRW, since Dean is an ex-governor (not in Congress) and Clark in an ex-general (was never in Congress).

I am glad DK voted against the Patriot Act and against the IRW. I admire him, just as I admire Senator Wellstone.

However, DK is perhaps much more of a joke as Rev. Al, especially considering the fact that Rev. Al has twice as many delegates as DK.

Sorry, this country is full of idiots who just aren't ready for a prez who is a vegan bachelor and who looks like a Vulcan or the unlikely spawn of an elf/hobbit coupling. Politics is a cruel business. But it had to be said.

Voting for either of them, keeps our messages in the Convention and some of the power! May help to make it a brokered convention, which gives power to us!

I worry about a vote for Clark, because he has endorsed Kerry. Does this mean that on the first ballot all those deglegates that he has, goes to Kerry? That could put Kerry over the top. Anyone know? I want it to go to at least a second ballot, where it is freefall!

The smarts part did worry me when I was younger, as far as the general population goes, I think it will work out. People don't always require smarts, and sometimes I have even seen it to be a handicap, or a challenge depending on who it concerns. And besides one should never ever misunderestimate others :hurts:
