Cleveland Plain Dealer: John Forbes Kerry is better choice for Ohio Dems

The conventional wisdom is true: Ed wards is warmer, more charming. If you were organizing a backyard barbecue, you'd call Ed wards first. He speaks eloquently of those left behind even when the economy was roaring. But he strikes us as a work in progress. He calls for bold solutions, but offers few.

But the Democrats are about to nominate their first presidential candidate since Sept. 11, 2001. More than anything else, that nominee must convince Americans that he can stand up to those who despise this nation and its values. And on this count, Kerry is easily the better choice. It's not just his heroism in Vietnam. It's his obvious understanding of the world's complexities and their effects on America.

This is a man who meets the threshold responsibility of a president in the post-9/11 world.

For Ohio Democrats Tuesday, the better choice is John Forbes Kerry.

1. do you think folks who made Kucinich their mayor...
...really care about this article! Is that the best a Kerry supporter could do to show how "Kerry is better than Edwards"?

2. Largest Ohio newspaper, I believe

I think its circulation is bigger than the Dispatch - either way, big endorsement for Kerry - should help carry Ohio for him.

3. Don't worry...
...Skull and Bones, and their SPECIAL INTERESTS BIRTH CHILD DIEBOLD, will make sure that their man, John Kerry, gets Ohio.

6. Bitter
Your bitterness exudes. Nice conspiracy theory, though.
