1. Basically says they never socialized much

Since they have almost never been on the same committees they rarely work together either.

A lot of little ancedotal stuff none of it sounds particularly meaningful.


The real damning story is the fact that Bush and Cheney are friends!

3. why is it odd to pick a VP who is a friend ?

I would think it makes for a better working relationship.

acting lke a private club to exclude the other two candidates at the last two debates. I thought they were really chummy, or did they just put on an act?

just not very close friends. and as the other person pointed out it would make some sense since they aren't on any committees together which is how senators and congress members usually work together and spend time together.
