Sign the Pledge, I promise to vote for the Democratic Nominee
I know, I know. Some of us didn't get the candidate we want. But regardless of who it is, I think they are 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times better than Bush.

WE NEED TO BEAT BUSH!

Please say you will back the nominee, who ever it is.

Thank you!

5. Why?
Most of us will be voting for Kerry anyway, warts and all -- if he's the nominee.

A better pledge might be to declare our solidarity before engaging in interneceine squabbles. It's like the old idea that it's OK for you and your brother to beat on each other until you're bloody pulps, but as soon as somebody else picks a fight with him, he's got to worry about you, too.

We don't need conformity -- just solidarity. That's what it will take to win back our Democracy.

We can fight each other later ... like, when the Democratic Party has 50% of the vote, the Progressive Party has 40%, and the Republican Party has 10%.

26. I signed that pledge on December the 13th, 2000
I'm sure as hell not going to act like a spoiled little child and stand on principle, insisting on my version of purity now. Too much is at stake.

I don't believe in loyalty oaths and pledges.

They reek of fear and desperation.
