I voted in NY for...
Clark, Kucinich and Kerry.

You can vote for the candidate and each of the 6 delegates seperately in NY.

Clark For President
1 Delegate to Clark (County Legislature that I work for)

4 Delegates to Kucinich

1 Delegate to Kerry

I am glad I could do that. Now go vote people. :hi:

5. They are open from 6-9.
I am a poll watcher so I get there early. I was the second to vote.

2. They have to win 15% to go to the convention, though.
We inquired about what happens to Clark delegates if we vote for them, but vote for Kerry as the candidate. At the Democratic HQ in our county they seemed sympathetic to the concept, but said that unless a candidate got 15% of the vote his delegates wouldn't be going to the convention at all. It's worth if you think the candidate the delegates are pledged to have a shot at getting the 15%, but otherwise..not so much.

4. It doesn't quite work that way
Votes for delegates are solely for the purpose of ranking, with Presidential Candidates who win delegates pulling them from the top of the ranking list (alternating male and female) up to the number of delegates they're entitled to. You can certainly split your delegate choices between several candidate slates, but it doesn't increase the likelihood that they'll make it to the convention unless the candidate they're pledged to wins enough votes as well.

6. That's OK with me.
I was able to help out a few of the candidates. I was lucky enough to be able to spread the love.
