2. Where to begin

In the beginning it was all Dean, I even donated and helped to form the local Dean Meetup.
When General Clark came into the race, I was impressed by what he was saying, especially one speech I heard on CSPAN in New Hampshire, but I was still sticking with Dean.

Then everyone dropped out, I was left without a candidate.

I reflected on each, Kucinich supported my views but I didn't like him. Also I attended a speech of his at Ohio State and was not impressed, I got the feeling that he had no idea what he was talking about.

Sharpton was not an option for me, he's fun but his past turns me off. Also probably the fact that he is a reverend didn't help his cause with me.

So I was down to Kerry and Edwards. From the very beginning Kerry was my very LEAST favorite candidate. And I just feel like Edwards has a better chance at reaching swing voters once they hear him. Where Edwards has had exposure he has done very well.

I was thinking of voting for Dean on premise, but a vote for Edwards, and against those who want the primaries finished was more important.

While I have been a Kerry supporter since last June for a number of reasons, I understand your plight.

Personally I don't "get" Edwards' appeal. I found Dean to be too angry and distorted the views of other candidates and the DLC for his profit. Kucinich should have dropped out a month ago. Sharpton is purely entertainment during debates, although I appreciate his efforts at getting people registered in urban America.

I've wondered why Kerry is some people's "least favorite" candidate. I figure they haven't really taken a good look at his record and his plans. I'm open to a mature discussion on why people don't like him.

Like you, I do wish the primary wasn't ending so soon. I'm not a fan of the front-loaded strategy.

4. Kerry

I voted for Edwards (in MO). I think he is a more attractive candidate than Kerry, and will sell well. I also like his "two Americas" theme. I think it captures what is going on. But Kerry, from what I have heard, has a great record in the Senate. Just my two cents.

...you voted for the best candidate the Democratic party has to offer in a general election.

Not only can Edwards win the Presidency, but unlike Kerry, Edwards will help the Democrats pick up seats in the house and the senate, and DUers OBVIOUSLY don't understand the coattails factor, but they don't understand most anything until they "SEE IT."

I don't need to wait until I see something to know about it.

Even people in the media who are pumping up Kerry's supposed "ELECTABILITY" know that he is not really electable, and Howard Fineman, probably one of the most "UNBIASED GUYS OUT THERE" started talking about that this morning, and how Edwards has to make the case that he is more electable than Kerry.

Every state that Kerry is leading Bush in, Edwards is leading Bush as well. In some states, like North Carolina, Kerry is out of the picture, and Edwards is still leading Bush.

People in this country are just lazy, and the bandwagon effect has propelled Kerry.

Thank you more not being lazy and examining the situation, and making a wise vote...
