Senate getting to vote on the assault weapons ban as an amendment to

a bill which gives gun manufacturers liability. It is the Feinstein amendment.

It will be a close vote, perhaps a tie and Cheney will have to break the tie--and Bush will have to break his word that he would support the ban on assault weapons.

This could get interesting. Roll call has begun.
