1. Later exit polls are more reliable, but here's the link to their site.

4. Traditionally old people
vote in the morning and younger people vote later in the day. Edwards does do better with younger voters, so...

as with any of this it should be view with healthy skepticism

11. Nah. Most of Ohio is moderate and would never vote for Kucinich.
His own CD probably did though.

27. We drove from GA this weekend to vote in MD
MD uses touch screens. I asked for a print out. None are available.
That is SCARY!!! It is just too simple to have a copy of your completed ballot printed out I am worried about the 2004 election if touch screens are used. At any rate, my entire family voted for Kucinich and Dean...split delegates between them.

3. So the National Review is telling us what the Diebold machines are saying
8 hours before the polls close....

Yeah, that sounds about right.

Free elections, my pointy tailed ass! :evilfrown:

5. aint it the truth?
still kind of fishy about those NH exit polls which indicated a close race within a few points between Kerry and Dean and the non-Diebold votes indicated that was the case--but Diebold ballots gave Kerry a huge lead.

6. Turnout Very Low in MD:
Probably not good for Edwards, as he would benefit most from rare, disaffected voters. I voted for Kerry in MD.

21. Don't bring up that old canard
Diebold ballots didn't give Kerry a big lead. The fact that the counties that used computerized counting machines (not touchscreen!) were concentrated on the Massachusetts border is the important factor.

9. Kerry will win Md.
A Democrat would have to run an awful campaign to lose this state. It's happend, but it's not going to happen this year.

12. In the GE, vote by absentee ballot & take the power away from Diebold
It takes the media out of being able to call an election before the voting is over, it takes the "no paper trail" out of the black box, it takes the things like hanging chads out of the count. And, it might force them to fix the problems with Black Box voting machines, if they are overwhelmed with absentee ballots! And, maybe the count would actually be tied to the vote! A Win-Win situtation.

Plus, you can do it in the comfort of your home!

14. It isn't alway legal to vote by absentee ballot
Here in Pennsylvania, you can only vote by absentee if you are going to be absent from you municipality or if you are physically unable to make it to the polls.

29. Get your rules changed! There are plenty of studies showing the
faults with the Black Box voting machines...use those to get it so anyone can have a paper trail with their voting. We have the power!

Absentee ballots can be abused and used for fraud as well.

19. Dean leads Kerry by 30 points here in Vermont
We Vermonters would rather vote for a great leader who isn't running anymore than stale John Kerry. Vermont knows Kerry is a joke.

wow, if so I will be one happy guy. If Dean wins Vermont it would be a great salute to a great man who stood up to Bush. It would happen after he quit active campaigning.

for Edwards I want to keep everyone in the race as long as possible so dems can keep logging news time bashing Bush. Was thrilled to still have the old punch cards but, sure they'll be gone by November.

24. Is there confirmation of this?
I really hope it's true. Dean is a patriot and a great man, and he deserves a place at the table. I have my fingers crossed that he'll pick up several delegates today. Never dreamed he would win a state. That would definitely make my primary season.
