Day 2 on the ground in South Carolina
Today was the second day I spent helping the Obama campaign. It was a long, fun, exciting, tough day. I spent the first half of the day dropping door hangers on homes. I spent the second half helping around the office. I am in Charleston.

There didn't appear to be anything going on by the other candidates in the districts I was in. I was told that the other campaigns haven't spent any time on the ground in Charleston thus far.

The feeling of the campaign is that if everyone that has been identified as an Obama supporter votes for Obama, he wins. There seems to be a lot of people that want to avenge the loss in NH. They want to make sure this goes correctly.

I am extremely impressed with the level of organization of the Obama campaign. They're network is deep. They follow up with volunteers. They work tirelessly. A lot of people were still working hard at 1AM when I left.

My sense is that Obama's organizers truly feel that if they do their work, they will win. I'm impressed with the depth of the organization. Let me know if you have any questions.

2. Thanks for the update!
After NH (the polls), I'm cautiously optimistic about Obama's chances in SC. I don't want to jinx anything but I hope it all turns out well for him. Thanks for all your efforts on the ground!

3. Nervously Optomistic
That's what I was told last night. After NH, no one is taking anything for granted.
