What would be the effect of voting Kerry for Pres and Kucinich delegates?
Won't those Kucinich delegates switch to the nominee at the convention?

1. Good question. I have another.
My state has "binding" primary, whatever that means. Supposedly delegates are not allowed to vote for someone else. I vote for president, then I vote for 8 delegates who are committed to a candidate. There's something about a 15% minimum threshold to pick up delegates. Its all very confusing...

2. There are a bunch of questions like those
I thought of dozens of reasons against it, but I found myself thinking of exit poll margins and the like.

I was thinking at first what would be the effect of having Kucinich delegates who would support the nominee anyway at the convention.

3. The "bound" delegates have to vote for their candidate on the FIRST
ballot.`Candidates must get at least 15 % IN A CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT to get any votes from THAT Congressional District. So conceivably you could have a candidate who didn't get over 15% in the state, who did get over 15% in a Congressional District and would get some delegates. Now if people vote for Dean and Clark and they don't get 15%, then their votes are re-averaged in to see if any others went over the 15%. Then the delegates are split by percentage.
