I'm quite serious here. If there is evidence of electoral fraud in the GE again this year, will you take to the streets?

NOW we DO know what shrub and his minions are capable of doing.
Given their new powers, by going out to the streets that have
literally been granted carte blanche and they will use it to their
advantage.

I would MUCH rather have you gents/ladies alive for use further
down the road. Just throwing yourself into the meatgrinder is
a waste of valueble assets.

It will play, IMHO, right into their hands. It will "prove" to their
followers that the "left" is actually hell-bent in "overthrowing"
America and "aiding" the "terrorists". You will be slaughtered or
rounded up...and then...the sheeple will really cower in fear.

Do as you will, but IMHO you have to think LONG TERM. And be prepared
to fight LONG TERM.
That's what resistance is all about...

So, a few dead Americans protesting the theft of an election would actually make it EASIER for the fascists?

Considering the degree to which people still (wrongly) believe America to be a truly great and free country, I actually think such an occurrence would help the cause, not hurt it. People would be aghast, and would not sit still for it.

Of course, I want to survive - provided it's worth living after another stolen election.

We just see differently on this issue. I'd rather die with a clear conscience than go along to get along. NOT that you are doing this. I'm just not willing to sit by as another election is stolen. Enough is enough. No more.

I did not say that I would NOT fight. All I am saying is that I
will not be participating in events where I can be "easy pickings"
for these facsists.

You also have to remember that the media is NOT OURS. And whatever
happens will be spun in such a manner that the American people will
never know the truth.

Look what happened during the anti-war protests in Miami... The media
PROTECTED the police actions.

Yes, enough is enough but you have to think long-term. When the next
GE is stolen, it will be my clear sign that its time to "pack up"
and get moving to safer areas. Cities are not where you want to be
when martial law is established.

In my particular case...living in a major repuke hub with
recently returned "patriotic and hero" soldiers... Let's just say that
I'm willing to cede this city to them...I won't have much company
out in the streets.

You speak of the media like I don't realize these things. I sat at work watching the propaganda about Haiti all day yesterday, and it sickened me. I'm all too aware of the state of the media. I work in the media, so believe me when I say I know more about it than a lot of people might surmise.

And many of us simply cannot afford to move to the wilderness.

54. Things didn't look all that bad in 2000...
Chimpy was an illegitimate president and we were closer than ever to regaining our congressional majorities in the next election. Given the rule that the opposition party almost always picks up seats the senate was basically ours and there was a good chance that we'd take the house. In addition, chimpy would have a VERY difficult time getting re-elected. 9/11, the Iraq war, and the midterms are when things started lookin grim.

And keyboards. The citizens and most importantly the consumers of this nation are not powerless. I think that Dean's campaign and MoveOn.org has demonstrated to the world that the internet is great tool for mass organization, on a national scale. If there's also a mobilization in the real world to complement it, things could really flourish.

I wasn't there, and it kills me to this day, and I *hate* using my health as an excuse; It might be a valid excuse for me, but it's not going to stop me anymore. Just as good standing up and being knocked down than to not stand at all. I am one damn good shot. I do not miss often. I suppose I would prefer a rifle, I am better with them. As someone who thinks of herself as a pacifist I will get riled up enough to give that up under those circumstances. ( never shot at anyone, don't think I really could)

this is 2004. The majority of the American sheeple are/have been made
docile.
They will believe what the pundits on the TV tell them.

During the 60s and 70s we had massive demonstrations but we all know
what happened...the government fought back, in some cases killing
people. Did this REALLY change American...? :shrug:

Folks...they have the dice in their hands and they're loaded. We take
to the streets (as expected) and they will have a field day. Lest
we forget that another staged "terror event" might occur during
the "elections" or maybe even after the elections in order to stir
up panic, etc.

You will be slaughtered...needlessly. The American sheeple will just
cower in fear as they're being told LIES about you and your fellow
brothers and sisters.
There are other venues... Again...think LONG-TERM. I'm not saying to
"roll over" and continue what you're doing now. That's not the
ticket. We need to regroup and replan. We need to know who our
enemies are.

If you fight the cop on the street or, eventually, the soldier on
the street....you will be fighting your brother or sister. They will
be following orders. Why not lure them into our fold? Why not
recruit them..turn them against their masters?

Also remember that the definition of "terrorism" and "terrorist" will
lie with the TV pundits and mediawhores. They will never call you
a "patriot".

If they steal it, then we should substitute 'DC' for 'Addis Ababa'. Everyone pack a sleeping bag, a change of clothes, safety gear, and recording equipment--plus torches and pitchforks if desired, pile as many into the car as possible, and head for DC.
