2. I regret him going

but i think he has decided that its better if the voters now have a clear cut choice on Super Tuesday.

I'm really looking forward to the debate tomorrow night now, that is going to be interesting to see Obama go one on one with Clinton. I hope he has a stiff drink and before he goes there.

I think Edwards is going to say, you have 2 candidates both as good, you decided on ST, its up to you.

I think the race will end now on Super Tuesday. Whoever comes out ahead will take it i think, the Superdelegates will weigh in heavily.

9. Same here and I'm from MA. It was Edwards that stole my heart,
not my senator. I did realize that Kerry had more name recognition. Edwards was my man, with my donations and phone banking in 2004. After 2004 he was the only candidate I saw actually do real work for New Orleans! He has my undying gratitude for that alone. NOLA is a disgrace upon this whole country. Those are or own citizens fer cripes sake!!!

7. A few minutes before the news broke, I posted this. It bears repeating, I think:
Johnny, Johnny, Johnny...
Sadly, this is the USA.
Poor people don't vote.
The Haves don't want to give what they Have to the Have Nots.
John's is a noble message, that in the end won't win him the nomination.
Sadly, this is the USA.

John Edwards deserves National prominence in our Party, and at least a Cabinet position in the next Democratic administration.

8. John Edwards is a true statesman.
His extremely important legal career, senate tenure and presidential campaigns have and will continue to
help everyone focus our collective efforts on the people, the families, the workers
who strive day in and day out for a more perfect union.

Thank goodness we have John Edwards fighting for us, no matter the venue!

10. I really wanted him to stay
but if it'sa health issue, I completely understand.

I really don't want to vote for Obama or Hillary, but I will hold my nose and do so, just to keep the GOPFascits from retaining power.

13. I increasingly came to respect John Edwards.
And I always respected the issues that he championed. I know he has been a constant voice inside the Democratic Party, calling us to our populist roots, defending the interests of Americans who have few people actively defending them. On a national level there has been no one doing more than John Edwards to give voice to the economic difficulties facing the least advantaged among us. I am very proud of John Edwards for doing so.

At one time back in 2003 it might have seemed like a "popular issue" to run on - when George W. Bush's first term was marked by the loss of multiple millions of jobs. But slowly the economy "improved" since then and the unemployment rate went down, even though structural poverty continued to be ignored and even though the seeds of the credit crisis were being sowed. Still, the problems with our economy because less obvious to many voters, but John Edwards never forgot. He remained a voice for the under privileged in America. He remained a voice for those who still had jobs who were only getting by because they managed to refinance there homes.

John Edwards did not forget poverty when many voters did. He leaves a void in this race and I heard that he called both Clinton and Obama personally to ask them both to orient their campaigns more toward fighting poverty in America (and that they both agreed). I hope I get to hear a great deal more from both John and Elizabeth Edwards. I truly believe that they both will keep fighting for the issues they believe in. I only wait to see the details. The direction of their lives work is set, and I know they will pursue this as hard as John Edwards pursued the Presidency. They deserve time to rest a little now, and I hope Elizabeth knows that her own voice will continue to be heard. She reached us too. They both are fighters in the best sense of that word.

14. I wish Edwards & his family the best.
He was my 2nd choice & he would have made a fine President. He would have also done well here in the TN primary on Super Tuesday.

I hope he continues to make his voice heard.

I hope John, Elizabeth, & family are able to spend some really quality time together now. I pray that Elizabeth Edwards will be with her family a really, really, long time. She is one amazing lady.

and shocked, and totally bummed for you, and I pray with all my heart that it has absolutely nothing to do with Elizabeth's health. Their message is too important to be silenced!

16. I am. I think he's a fantasic candidate and
a sincere, standup human being who really believes in what he is saying. I am mystified that he didn't get greater support. Truly. And I thought he was staying in till the end. When I saw he was dropping out I was truly shocked. First, I thought it had something to do with Elizabeth's health. Has it been absolutely established it ISN'T about Elizabeth?

He runs a clean campaign and I so admire he and Elizabeth. They have a wonderful family, and a wonderful marriage, I really do admire them.

He would be such a great AG to anyone.

He talks about PEOPLE and the ISSUES, and I always liked him, always.
