Attn: National Press Club about Ethics Committee not effective...
Catch it on CSPAN achieves. A group of citizen action legal and government accountability groups talked about the lack of ethics investigation by the House. There seems to be an understanding not to enforce the rules by both parties.

They talked at great length about Tom DeLay and his iron hand over Congress. Many Congress people fear him and don't take action against him.

One man stated, this isn't exactly Boss Tweed yet. I disagree..it's worse than that. It is a criminal enterprise.

They worried that Americans don't trust their government leaders. This is not acceptable in a democracy. You bet it isn't!!!

1. I saw that last night on C-span......
and I was appalled to say the least. The dems and repugs have an unwritten agreement to NOT bring ethics charges against each other. This is not democracy...it's a sick joke.
