Can I get a promise from both the Hillary Clinton and Obama supporters?
Edited on Wed Jan-30-08 06:48 PM by Marr
If your candidate loses the general election, will you refrain from blaming the left this time and place the blame where it belongs? That is, on the Republican-lite, triangulating, right wing of party?

This is important, because if you don't properly assign the blame this time, we'll only repeat this mistake in the future. You'll argue that your candidate's thumping is proof that the Democratic Party needs to more thoroughly ignore the left, and... well, it's just an endless cycle.

13. Honestly, I don't blame the Left for anything
It's way too small and whiny to have any measurable political weight to speak of.

8. It would make many here
very happy. They think they'd be proven right. If ONLY we'd nominated Kucinich....

9. Yes, that's right-- if you don't cheer wildly for Hillary, it's because you want to lose.
Why does that sound so familiar?

14. Why Would They? They Want to Move to the Right
It's like two birds with one stone for them. Demonize the left (anti-corporate greed) and move the party and general public to the right (more cozy with corporate America).

15. I think the new 'left'
consists of anyone that states a fact that goes against the preferred truth. It doesn't seem to matter what the bullshit du jour is. Until it is deemed okay to accept the truth, those that dare utter another possibility are affixed a label to be vilified and marginalized.
