Clark Folks -- Please Check-in for a Message
Folks, please treat this with the credibility which you think it deserves but there is a "semi-official" sounding message floating about regarding Clark and the VP position: namely, it wouldn't be helpful to flood the media, Kerry campaign or Kerry blog with lots of promote Wes for VP messages.

The "apparent" recommendation is to: get involved with the Kerry campaign and/or Democratic congressional and local races while maintaining your "Clark Supporter" identity. Also, it is evident that we have a bit of a hill to climb in helping Wes retire his campaign debt so please consider another donation if you are able.

Remember, we are trying to be able to credit donations to congressional Dems and the Kerry campaign which come from Clark folk SO, if you could take a moment to report these at www.wesclarkdemocrats.com I'd be very appreciative.

Finally you can also report your donation(s) to Wes, post 2/12/04 using this url: www.wesclarkdemocrats.com/wes_donate.asp

We are trying to get a tally going so we have some idea of how far we have to go. Thank you! You folks are absolutely the best.

1. Thanks for that post
While I'm not ready to dive into the Kerry campaign, I have volunteered for the Russ Feingold campaign, AND,

I'm hosting a Clark House Party this Friday night. A potluck fundraiser. I'll be showing the Max videos, for about 10 minutes of entertainment, and anyone who wants to stay to watch the MoveOn sponsored documentary "Uncovered" will be welcome to. We've got maybe 16 to 20 people coming... so I hope we'll be able to gather a few bucks to send in to Clark! YEAY!

3. That's great!
Vote...WI,

I admire your energy and Feingold is the best. Is he expecting a tough challenge to retain his seat?

15. Four Repugs running,
with their primary in September. They have ENORMOUS dollars!!! Two are rich businessmen with no experience in any sort of politics. In fact one, when asked why he was running against Russ Feingold, answered, "Because I can afford to."

Yeah, that's the sort of mentality and commitment to our state and our country that I want representing me! :(

2. basically common sense I think
Thanks for the post, flooding the Kerry blog would be tasteless and crass. But, I don't think having discussions about a veep position "out here" in cyberspace is out of line though.

4. Yep, Jim
But one of the odd attributes of common sense is how uncommon it often is! I'd say DU, kos, etc. are fair game.

support the candidate *can't* get without him? Wouldn't a more conservative southern dem top the list?

edit- Didn't mean to crash the thread- I've just been wondering about this.
