When Bush says "I know where I want to lead this country"
When he says he "knows exectly where he wants to lead this country" I believe him. I think he is absolutely telling the truth. The problem is that that by itself does not make one a good president. I lose patience with the argument that says one is a good leader simply because they do what they say they are going to do (which is not Bush), or that one is a good leader because they have vision. I'm sure Hitler, Stallin, Mao, Ceaucesceau and Saddam had vision. I'm sure they "knew where they wanted to lead" their nations. I have no doubt that George W. Bush knows he wants to start more preemptive wars around the world, a resumption of the draft, huge cuts in social welfare programs (in the 2nd term), more tax cuts for the wealthy and East German style police state approaches to law enforcement.

1. Sure he knows
He wants to lead it right down into the shitter, so long as his rich buddies keep getting richer.

2. Exactly
I don't think that add will be a winner, especially with glass eyed stepford wife Laura glaring from behind Little Dictator.

4. I've heard that ad several times and he never mentions where.
Sure I know where, but you'd think he would say more than that.

5. In a Kerry counter ad, place images of war, protest, joblessness, inequity
... all of that. Would the public REALLY want to go where Bush wants to take them then?
