June, 2005
Hostile situations persist in Iraq and Afghanistan, tensions simmer with Syria, Iran, North Korea, Venezuela, and Saudi Arabia. President Kerry calls for a renewal of the draft; how do you respond?

2. I think that is the most unlikely of scenarios, other than the fact
that there WILL be a President Kerry in June, 2005.

3. its what I expect will happen
IF Kerry becomes president. Otherwise President Bush will call for a draft. Either way a draft is going to happen. Kucinich of course has been pointing this out for many months.

4. Yes, to me it seems a foregone conclusion
unless he actually follows through with his co-opting of DK's 'UN in, US out' plan.

5. Cry.....
What else can I do? Run? Hide? Hide my daughter and son-in-law?
Seriously, I don't even want to think about it.

There is this cave I know about way back in the woods.....

8. just tell your son-in-law
to tell the draft board he's gay.

Tell him to bring a friend and pretend he's his boyfriend.

The draft board will say he's morally unfit to serve.

14. lol...that'd likely work...maybe we'd have segregated units
just like in the "good ole days" of segregation by race in the military.

7. August, 2006
Little green men from Outer Space land in Boston and start consuming mass quantities of Samuel Adams beer. President Kerry calls for attempts to communicate with the newcomers, instead of blowing them, and all of Boston, up in a mushroom cloud. How do you respond?

11. If there is a draft in 2005, I'll be 18. So I guess I'm headed to the Army
But then again, I'm kicking around the idea of enlisting anyway. Soooo...I dunno.

If there was a draft...wow....

12. If there's a draft
I suppose I'll have little choice. I am not a conscienctious objector at all...war is sometimes necessary. I'd rather not fight...but if there's a draft, and I'm drafted (I'm 17...almost 19 in june 2005) then i suppose ill serve.

13. I'll oppose Kerry as much as I would oppose Bush* if he were to do...
the same thing.

It's about policies, not personalities.

re-institution of the draft!

17. With anger.
Then again, I just found out my brother will be going back to Afghanistan in a few months so I'm angry regardless. He was there when the Afghanistan War first started, then he was sent to Baghdad, now he's going back to Afghanistan..which, from what I understand, is less stable than ever. When the @#$%!# are we going to get our asses out of the Middle East?

Nevermind, I already know the answer.

Please do not think the draft won't happen...IT WILL. They are getting us ready fro it now.
I don't want my son or daughter being drafted, going to war when it doesn't have to be this way.....

The only one who I know would not have a draft ( barring an out * out attack on the US) is Kucinich...the rest...well...Kerry is running on being a better soldier/military man than Bush...what exactly do you think will happen if we keep up these occupations & invasions??

Peace...the best choice
