Lysenkoism in Politics

Imagine something on the order of political fact, or political reality. If there were a sytematic, ideological attempt to deny such a reality, would that be a manifestation of Lysenkoism in politics?

Idiocy?

I have brought up the dangers of Lysenkoism quite a few times on these boards, but only in passing mention. Thanks for your link and voice on this matter.

Indeed it was your mention of Lysenkoism some time ago which prompted me to look it up and consider forming an opinion on the matter.

To be honest, I'm not sure what to make of Lysenko's ideas or the abuses of power that are his legacy. It interests me as a political phenomenon.

I'm reminded that I usually appreciate and enjoy your contributions to the discussions here, even when they lead me far afield.

It's a funny place for a person to excel, the net.
