I am sorry but there is nothing like negative press for tasteless ads you run to kick off your campaign. CNN has this shameless act as there question of the day (and gee are the responses brutal). Maureen Dowd mentions it in her article today. Families upset, firefighters upset. Way to go Bush you managed to piss alot of people off. Oh by the way, how exciting it will be to see the protest at this years RNC.

Did you see the one with the little black kids and the Hispanic woman and the Asian? It looks like the lily-white GOP is going to try to fool voters into thinking that its "diverse" just like they did in 2000. I wonder if Chaka Khan will be performing at the convention again. :eyes:

It will be different this time because we all know who he really is. (Actually, those of us in Texas had his number a long time ago when he gave away our rainy day fund to the corporations.) He can't hide behind that aw-shucks-dumb-cowboy routine. We know he's really a dumb windshield cowboy who can't even say "aw shucks' without screwing it up.

I'm upset that I"m not seeing the criticism of the ads really put there in the mainstream. There's some picking at them, but I haven't heard anyone question Mehlman or Hughes over the Firefighters' objections.
