2. Absolutely not!
It's not just about selecting a candidate, it's about selecting & defining a platform. Kerry'll get some messages sent to him - I know friends here in California who sent him some Kucinich votes, for example. That's important to hear.

Ummmm, you knew all this, right?

3. Well, the way some people post here

you'd think that casting a vote in the presidential primary is now "disloyal" to The Party. Maybe we could just cancel the presidential part?

5. WTF....you tryin' to say my vote DOESN'T count....
Edited on Thu Mar-04-04 12:33 PM by jus_the_facts
.....this is why this primary system is FLAWED...for you to even suggest this is ASSININE and an insult to those of us who've not yet voted! :grr:

on edit....I do realize and have said that since the majority of voters have already picked Kerry it's as if my vote won't matter...but still...there are millions of people who have gotten screwed out of this selection of candidates and it's blatantly obvious that this system needs to be CHANGED as to allow more or all states to be included in SUPER TUESDAY.

7. Hey, I haven't gotten to vote yet, either,
it's just with all this push to "line up" behind the chosen, I was just wondering.

8. There appears to be a segment of Duers...
who have a very serious problem with folks exercising their right to vote for WHICHEVER candidate they choose to at WHATEVER time during the primary race they can.

I can remember the days when we'd have two or three candidates at the convention, all duking it out. I personally think it was a far better way to handle things, instead of the current "coronation" process we use. It kept the debate hot and relevent, and the candidates on their toes.

If Kucinich and Sharpton leave now, there WILL be important issues that will never be heard about again, like the notion that the invasion of Iraq was WRONG.

You are never going to hear that out of Kerry's mouth.

But it STILL needs to be said. REPEATEDLY.

10. NO!
I have a chance to vote for the ONLY African-American in the US Senate, and possibly the 1st A-A President (2012)!

Barak Obama, D-Illinois
