Today was fun, I became Mr. Kerry for President bumber sticker guy
So I got out of classes around noon and decided to go check out the Kerry for President office in Akron (Ohio south of Cleveland). Turns out that office was just for the primary, though the Laborers union was cool anyways, so I headed down to the County Dem HQ to see if they had any Kerry materials. The chair (Who was a Dean and then Edwards guy) had some bumper stickers the Kerry people had dropped off and gave me about 20 of them to pass out.

So I went out to my truck and put 2 on the back and 1 on each back window. I needed to do some errands so I was driving around the Akron area for about two hours.

The following happened while I was driving:

I was honked and waved at about 10 times.

At a main intersection downtown a guy ran across the street to ask me where I got the stickers, I told him and gave him one.

In the home depot parking lot the same thing happened, gave a woman one.

The worker in the checkout window at Burger King asked me too, gave her one.

And finally, at a red light a half-mile away from my house a guy pulled up behind me, jumped out of his car, and ran up to ask me about the stickers. Gave him one too!

Made me feel good.

3. lol, soon I'll be saying the same thing
I graduate in May and it looks like I'll be relocating. Though I'm transferring my address to my grandmother's so I can still vote in Ohio for November.

6. Bumper Stickers are a powerful statement...

I want everyone to get a Kerry sticker.

Everyone.

Glad to hear that about Ohio! Ohio is the game!

They say it's worth $500 of Advertising. You can get a free one from the Kerry site:

http://www.johnkerry.com/signup/bumper.php

During campaigns I peel off my "librul" stickers and just display candidate stickers.

(On edit, I just changed my sig to reflect this)

7. i didn't know you were a guy
i have been wrong many times on here in my assumptions of people as being male or female. i do wonder what it is that gets me to assume someone is a certain gender without them actually saying anything about it.

nice to hear about the bumper stickers. i'm really hoping ohio goes democratic this time around. i know a lot of people there are really suffering under bush.
