Talking about how many people hate the new Bush ads.

Much controversy.

3. This is good - the ads are becoming the "story"
People will view them much more skeptically - this controversy also plays into the awol stories and the wmd stories - Bush lies, he can't be trusted, he will do and say anything to get what he wants. Good for Dems whether or not he pulls the ads. Also, people who saw the ads and felt positive about them are going to distrust their feelings and feel "used". All of this "poisons the well" for the ads to follow.

4. Last night, Chris Matthews said that
these were great ads while surrounded by three republicans. He never has an original or principled thought. Why this not very bright person (I am being charitable here) has two television programs is beyond me.

5. Chris Matthews also went orgasmic
when Shrub landed on the aircraft carrier.

I think he had flight suit envy, or maybe sock envy.

6. this was bound to happen
Bush could run nothing but positive ads from here to November - but just that fact that he's going to buy $200 million worth of advertising means he's going to piss off a lot of people just in the volume of ads alone.

Once he starts to go negative, it'll be disasterous for him.

7. Rethug Tom Cole from Oklahoma says Osama will be happy if we elect Kerry.
He had a chance to modify that statement, but choose to amplify it.
