Would Everybody Please Just Agree On Everything?
Get in line and think alike?

Please?

Is that asking too damn much? Can we put our personal-ities on the back burner, run with the flock and fly in tight formation?

After all, this is no time for independent thought.

3. I think most Americans are going to be in agreement
and send it to George Bush in Nov. that he is an embarrassment to the country. Time to go back picking up cow pies at the ranch full time.

4. Bravo! This is the time to work together if there ever was a time.
Cow piles? I do not think GWB has anything but brush and tumbleweeds on his so-called ranch, just the right mental exertion needed for one of his mentality (so-called.)

7. Supporting the Dem nominee, which appears to be Kerry...
Edited on Thu Mar-04-04 05:33 PM by jchild
does NOT MEAN you have to subsume your own identity into Kerry's identity.

It does not mean that you can't still have pet issues.

It does not mean that you are a Demrobot being remote controlled by "rank and file" Democrats.

It only means that you want to throw Bush out on his ass, and of the people running, you believe that Kerry is the best person to do that.

Like the repentant Bill Maher said, in 2000, he saw voting for Gore over Bush as voting for the lesser of two evils, so he voted for Nader. This year, he will support the Democratic nominee, because he sees how bad the greater of the two evils is.

No one expects us to be generic Democrats, all walking, talking, and thinking alike. Do what you want, but quit bitching about not being able to express your individuality on DU, because, quite frankly, that's just rhetorical bombast.

11. I have a better idea
How about I bitch all I want, and you quit telling me how to think, what to say, or how to say it, ok? Will that work for you, because it sure as hell works for me!

BTW, you wrote -

"Supporting the Dem nominee, which appears to be Kerry...only means that you want to throw Bush out on his ass, and of the people running, you believe that Kerry is the best person to do that."

That was too funny, and a great example of what some of us are bitching about!

I can support the Dem nominee, but I never thought that Kerry was the best person to get rid of Bush, nor the best person to lead the country. As a matter of fact, I doubt that I ever will think that.

Kerry is not my best choice, unfortunately, that will not matter very soon. Still, I won't be voting for Kerry in Nov.

I'll be voting for the Democrat against Bush, even if it happens to be Kerry. Not at all the same, and I'm unhappy with that reality. Since I can't, in good conscious, use actions against Kerry, I'll use words.

12. If you won't be voting for Kerry in November...
then your opinion means NADA to me.

You are a Bush enabler--I call it as I see it. No amount of rationalizing changes that fact.

13. Q.#1 - Do I Give A Damn?
A.#1 -Not on your luckiest day.

Q.#2 - Did I say I won't be voting for Kerry?

A.#2 - Not exactly. What I said is that I won't be voting FOR Kerry. I'll be voting for the Dem nominee, even if it happens to be Kerry.

I'll vote any Dem against Bush. Kerry is just a place holder, I don't support him beyond that vote. But I already said that, and you knew that, didn't you?

Call that as you see it, or don't, refer to Q&A #1.

You're more interested in controlling what I have to say than in listening to the same.

17. I Don't Want To Be Rude, But Can You Freaking Read?
Here's what I wrote, and I quote:

"Kerry is not my best choice, unfortunately, that will not matter very soon. Still, I won't be voting for Kerry in Nov.

I'll be voting for the Democrat against Bush, even if it happens to be Kerry. Not at all the same,
and I'm unhappy with that reality. Since I can't, in good conscious, use actions against Kerry, I'll use words."

**********************

I wrote it that way in Post #11, quoted it in Post # 13, and here I am, AGAIN, explaining something to you that YOU could clear up instantly if you read what I wrote, instead of cherry picking parts of a post to support your desire to control my speach.

You know, when I bitch about the Kerry group think here, at least I have a legitimate reason. All you have to bitch about is your gross misunderstanding of what I wrote. How sad. :(
