Would someone please "fix" John Kerry's website!
Another poster last week pointed out that Edwards site is much better. Whoever that was hit the nail on the head. Someone with an eye for layout needs to fix Kerry's site quick.

Kerry's site... Colors clashy and boring... Left side too bland and thin. Right side weighed down by "ignore me" ad-shaped thingies. Off balance. Wasted white space. Skinny, low contrast fonts. Even the picture of Kerry is less than flattering. The info may be there, but it's a terrible style and layout.

17. no thanks
I'm very happy with the version I have now.

If Kerry really wants people to visit the website, they really need to have it compatible with browsers regardless of whether it's the latest version or not. Not many people are going to update their browser just to visit his site...

2. Funny
I never cared for the Edwards site. That is in no way a slam on Edwards, because I love the guy, but always hated his site. I say this as a professional web developer too. Maybe I no longer have an eye for what looks good, though. Who knows. ;)

11. Agreed
I thought Edwards' site looked cheesy. Maybe it was the recipe for pie or whatever...

13. I agree
Edwards' site is garish and way too busy. A factory outlet discounter could move right in after he leaves, with just a couple of tweaks. Kerry's is much better.

5. I disagree about Edwards site
Too cluttered. Also, too colorful, the red is too much.

But I agree Kerry's site could use some jazzing up. It is a bit vanilla and plain.

The best site I saw of the candidates was believe it or not Gephardt's.

I really liked the scheme of that site, it was well put together with good organization and had some pizazz as well.

7. You've got to be kidding
The Edwards site always drove me batty during the campaign. Way too busy (especially the freakin crawl) Kerry's site was always orderly and easy to find stuff. Also, for whatever reason, the text on the Clark site always appeared to be in a funky font when I opened it up. Drove me nuts too.

15. I like Kerry's site more
Lots of flashy colors and scrolling may be visually impressive, but I like simple, easy to navigate sites that are easy on my eyes. Too much color is annoying and distracting.

16. I agree that the electoral map feature
on Edwards site is the best one I could find online. Very useful.
