1. Why must we choose sides? I'm curious.
I mean, I have my beliefs, why should I change them?

12. Yosemite Puts Things In Perspective For Me !!!
Awesome geological beauty, and an environmental responsibility.

Years ago, in a photography class, I did a 'sandwich-slide' presentation of Yosemite. This is where you take one image, and super-impose it upon another. I put the power transmitting towers of Hoover Dam, in the middle of Yosemite Valley. It got laughs at first, then contemplation, and then... lots of discussion!

I don't believe in God. But I have a healthy spiritual side, like when I look at Half Dome!!!

Anywho, I live about 3 hours away, and go there several times of year.

Peace!

13. What is this "we" shit?
My primary is not until May.

If he got the nomination w/o my vote, he can do w/o my vote in November.

Btw, what honor does he have? He voted for the death and misery of thousands of innocents. That is not something to be honored.

10. To start with, God is a Republican.
Pat Robertson has already addressed that question.

One voter's center is another's left, and another's right. John Kennedy would seem conservative by some gauges today. Some Americans still oppose the Civil Rights movement. The
"center" is always shifting.

Last but not least, my crotch is fine. Thanks for asking.

16. We do have a side believe it or not
I can only speak for myself, but I am socially liberal and a bit more fiscally conservative. I have my beliefs and I pick sides based on the issue. We can't all be all one way or the other on everything :)

17.  I'm no fence-sitter. I'm more of a trimmer.

Sir William Coventry was the original Trimmer. Writing to his nephew Viscount Weymouth, while denying the authorship of 'The Character of a Trimmer', he says:

"I have not been ashamed to own myself to be a trimmer . . . one who would sit upright and not overturn the boat by swaying too much to either side."

18. Will leftist Dems pick a side?
Or will they abandon ship every time they don't get their own way 100%? Centrist Dems have a side, we're always on that side, and we never waiver. I'd rather be there than with a bunch of leftist idealogues who are willing to sell everybody down the shitter.

19. thats what IM talkin about!
Edited on Thu Mar-04-04 11:21 PM by tinanator
Yeah, Im dying to stand behind that kind of solidarity inspiring rhetoric. Is it really that hard to do the basic game strategies that arise from the 2 party scam system we are entrapped by? Its not, but first you have to drown out all the bullshit conventional wisdom of individuals who have lost sight of right and wrong. Like up and down, positive and negative, left and right, you need to have some bearings to navigate the puzzle/game. Simple game theory tells you exactly what you need to do to win. Assuming, of course, that you have 2 distinct sides.

24. On voting for the Dem
We never waiver. We figured out a very long time ago that there's a huge difference between the two parties. It took Reagan to convince some thoroughly, but most of us didn't even need the nightmare of the 80's to figure it out. I guess some just need a little more suffering to know there's only one way out and it's through the Democratic Party.
