Soooo, on November 3, when we solid supporters of Kerry are celebrating
his victory over Bush, congratulating ourselves for our diligent work on his behalf, for the victory we helped him win, for sending Bush back to Crawford, Texassss....:bounce: :toast: :bounce:

What will the others of you be doing?

:-)

3. I have no idea what their motivation is aside from
political immaturity - hopefully they will have grown up by then.

5. Must be nice to be "high behind" a candidate
I envy that feeling, if not your choice of candidates.

I'll vote for him reluctantly and hope that he will do a better job of getting us out of IraqNam than Lyndon Johnson did in getting us deeper in Vietnam.

I would suggest, however that smugness on the part of the Kerry loyal do him a disservice in running off people who would potentially hold their noses to vote for him. It's going to be a squeaker and you'll need all the help you can get.

I'm just sayin'

12. protesting Kerry's war, same as it ever was....
Speaking of Guantanamo, does anyone know what Kerry's position is about indeterminant detentions without trial, secret trials, refusal to permit real legal counsel, and so on?

14. There is a war that we need to end, and a PATRIOT Act to repeal
and globalization that has to be stopped, NAFTA must be repealed, and FTAA must never be enacted.

We also have to fight for peace with justice in the Middle East by making the United States an honest broker instead of an occupation enabler. We must also bring about the end of American imperialism and aggression, including disbanding the School of the Americas and terminating Plan Colombia.

Closer to home, we will be fighting for a living wage, for equal rights for all, to save the Earth, and to abolish Taft-Hartley. Electoral reform, including proportional representation, is also on the agenda.

There is no rest for the righteous!

21. Bush = Hitler
which reminds me that many prowar posters criticized the Left for comparing Bush to Hitler.

We don't want Bush, but at the same time we are not about to give up on the issues we care about just because we elect someone with a "D" after his name.

Just as we are going to demonstrate against the war on March 20, 2004, we will also demonstrate for peace on March 20, 2005, no matter who gets elected in the Fall.

MARCH 20, 2004

GLOBAL DAY OF ACTION
on the FIRST ANNIVERSARY
of the U.S. BOMBING and INVASION of IRAQ

Bring the troops home now!

End colonial occupation
from Iraq to Palestine and everywhere!

Money for jobs, education, healthcare
and housing - Not war!
Stop the attacks on civil rights and civil liberties!

22. Cool...neither will I.
Fact is, I think Bush has awoken a sleeping giant and electing a Democratic executive/legislature is only the 1st step in getting this country to move back down the road of progressive enlightenment.
